What is Exeest?SIEBEL

Exeest is a technology platform built to help rights holders and distribution companies distribute content. The goal is to build modern tools to reach buyers and make the process easier and faster.

What are the requirements for becoming a content Seller?

Anyone with the rights to premium video content that are looking to market for licensing or sale. Sellers will typically be either part of a production company, network, studio, distributor, an independent filmmaker, or agent.

Is there a verification process to gain access to the platform?

Yes. As part of Exeest’s compliance and security program, we must ensure to collect and verify important informations about our users and their companies, such as name, address, government-issued business license/permit, current certificate of good standing, current business utility or phone bill, and so forth. This is to ensure the safety of the entire Exeest community, and your content. These documents can be uploaded during the account registration process. We will then follow-up with an email to confirm the materials have been received and are under review by our team.

What if I have questions about the Hosting Agreement?

Account

What if I forgot my password?SIEBEL

Click on the “FORGOT PASSWORD” button, we will then ask your email address where we will send you the Password Reset link. Type a new password and you will be able to log in right after.

How do I change information or personal details about my account?

Under “Settings”, which can be found by clicking on your name at the top right corner of the homepage, you can edit your personal details, account and billing information.

How do I sign-up as a new user?

You can sign-up by clicking this link. You will be asked to provide some general personal information and details about your company. Once we receive your application our team will authenticate your account within a few business days.

What is the Hosting Agreement and why do I need to sign it?

The Hosting Agreement grants Exeest the proper permission to host and display content uploaded by the users of your account. It should be signed by the primary owner of your account. For security purposes, please be aware that you will not be able to upload content until the Hosting Agreement is signed. This is done to ensure that all content on the platform has been willfully reviewed and uploaded by the proper parties wishing to utilize our services.

How do I delete my account?

If you wish to delete your account please email us at help@exeest.com and we will take care of it as soon as we can.

Platform

If I have entered the Demo Content, and I want to enter the full length video, how can I do?

First of all by entering the Submission Form of the project whose you want to enter the Full length video. Then by going to the media video section where you will find the “Pay the Submission Fee” button. Once you have paid the Submission Fee, you can edit your Project and insert the complete video in the appropriate box.

Is there the possibility to insert notes on the Projects?

Yes, by entering a Project’s Content Page and clicking the Options button. You will have a drop-down menu with the item “Add Note”. These notes can be very useful for the negotiation: you can write information about the status of the production for example or on the availabilities. The notes will be visible to all the guests to whom the project will be shared.

How can I add other members to my Company Panel?

By entering your Company Panel you will find the "Add New Member" button at the top right and from there you can add new members. Please remember that if you are a Content Manager you don’t have the permissions to add new members.

Do I have the possibility to add External links to a project?

Yes, you can add external links by entering the Content Page of a Project and clicking on the options button. You will find the item external link that you can use for example to insert links to articles or reviews of your project. The link will be visible on the Project's Content Page.

If I am an Owner or an Admin and I want to give a Content Manager the possibility to edit my Project, what should I do?

There is no need to leave your login credentials to the Content Manager. You can just enter your Content Page and click on the options button. Then select the “Grant Permission” item and decide to which users give the possibility to edit your Project.

Why is my content in pending titles?

If your title is pending it’s because we are still checking that this one is in line with our guidelines. You will be notified as soon as we have published your content on the marketplace.

Is there a way to download the titles of a Room in a Pdf file?

Of course! Just go to the Room section and click on the options button of the Room you are interested in downloading. You will find the item “Save to PDF”.

How can I make a Project of mine visible in the Marketplace?

All the titles you find on “Active Titles” are the Projects that are visible to Buyers. To make a Project that you see as Inactive become Active, just hover the cursor over it, click on “Activate” and wait for the Exeest Team to process your title in the active library. We advise you to check that you have correctly inserted your Project’s Cover and Poster.

If I have to upload an Episodic content, will I have to upload all episodes?

For the Episodic content we give the possibility to load, as well as covers of the episodes and trailers of the seasons, only the pilot episode. There will therefore be no need to load all the episodes of the season.

If I have a Project in my Catalog that has multiple Posters, which one should I choose?

In the Submission Form under the Poster box there is a smaller equal box where you can insert more posters if you need them.

Can I upload a project of a movie that has not been released or produced yet?

Yes, you have the option to upload projects that are still in production or even in earlier stages. Below you will find the list of options you can choose for the status of your project:

Can I edit a project after the submission?

Yes, you can edit all the information and the availability of the rights of any project. You can also edit the content by uploading a new video. If you wish to edit your project click on the options button next to the “CONTENT PAGE” button and then click on “Edit”

Can I change the status of my projects after the submission?

Yes, you can change the status of your projects at any time. You will just need to edit your project just as when you edit any other information.

Who has permission to share a project?

It depends on the Role of the Team Member:

Owner: can share every project
Admin: can share every project expect the Owner’s titles
Content Manager: can only share his own projects

What analytics will I be able to check once I shared my projects?

Once you start sharing your projects we store every interaction that your guests have with your screeners. Indeed in the Analytics section of your project, you can see the following Stats:

Total Visits
Unique Guests
Movie Plays
Trailer Plays
Links Sent

What is a Room?

A Room is a list of your projects that you can send out to your guest under one single link. In order to create a Room click on ROOMS on your navigation bar and add at least 3 projects. Once you have created a Room you can share just as you share single Screeners. Remember that if you have the role of a Content Manager you do not have access to this feature.

What should I have ready in order to list one of my titles on Exeest?SIEBEL

We suggest you have as much information available as possible in order for our system to create a fully complete and detailed Film Page for your content.

Our submission form requires mandatory information such as:
Title, Logline, Synopsis
Director, Screenwriter, and Cinematographer
Production Company
Languages
Technical Specs (runtime, production budget, film nationality, release date)
Genre and tags

In addition, we recommend that you include a final cut of the film, trailer, extras, stills, poster, and information about your avails and licensing.

How do I upload content?

There are two ways:
One draft at a time via our submission form.
Bulk upload via a CSV template. Click here for more information on Bulk uploads.

Will I need to fill out the entire submission form every time that I submit a title?

Not necessarily. We’ve created a very smart system backed by an extensive film database. Once you open the submission form and begin typing the title in the search bar, the system will populate potential matches. When you see your film, click on it, and the submission form will auto-populate with the information we have on file. Please double-check and make sure all the required fields are filled in with the proper information.

Can I upload multiple pieces of content or an entire catalogue at one time?

Yes. Click on the “Import Catalogue” button that you will find on the “Draft” page. We will ask you to upload a CSV file containing info about each piece of content you wish to upload. For detailed instructions please check the CSV Import guide here.

As a Seller, what sort of content can I upload and list on the platform?

Exeest focuses on premium video content that is seeking a sale or licensing deal. Users may upload content that is either long form, episodic, or short form, and of a narrative, animation, documentary, or special type. We do not currently allow advertising, showreels, or content that may be found on or is designed for Vimeo or YouTube.

Do I need to upload full broadcast-quality content?

Exeest only requires ‘preview’ quality. We support standard video formats such as MP4, AVIs, Mov, etc. Whenever possible, HD quality with solid compression is preferred to give buyers the best possible experience when screening.

If my Company is registered with Exeest, can multiple users manage our account?

Yes, once your Company is verified, we will give you access to an admin panel, where you can add new members to your account and assign users different types of roles and levels of access.

How do I access my Company admin panel?

You can access your Company admin panel by clicking on the “burger menu” in the top left corner of the page.

What are the different types of roles that I can assign to my teammates?

Owner: Complete control over all platform operations, including the ability to change your Company info, add, edit, and delete team members and monitor their activities. This user can upload and manage content as well as interact with team members’ titles.
Admin: Partial control over platform operations. This user can upload and manage content as well as view Company member activities, without the ability to interact with their content.
Content Manager: This user can upload and manage content, but does not have permission to see other Company member activities.

Where am I able to see the history of my submissions?

By clicking on the left side menu of the page. Once you open the side menu click on “Orders”, where you will be able to find all details about every submission you have made on the platform.

What is the difference between My Projects and Company Projects?

In “My Projects” you can see all of the projects you have uploaded yourself. In “Company Projects” you can see all of the projects that your entire team has uploaded. Please be aware that only users with the role of Owner or Admin will be able to have access to the “Company Projects” page.

Is there a limit to the amount of content I can upload?

No, there is no limit so please feel free to upload as many pieces of content as you’d like to display to buyers.

How long will my content be on your platform?

Every piece of content uploaded on the platform will remain until you decide to have it removed.

Can I add or exclude specific components of a Film Page when sharing it with someone?

Yes, you can add or exclude a Pitch Deck, Script/Series Bible, Evaluations, Technical Specs and Availabilities. You can also control whether or not you want to allow the person to download the Pitch Deck or Script/Series Bible.

Cart & Pricing

Is the Cart personal or of the whole company?SIEBEL

The Cart belongs to the whole company, so anyone who is part of your company will be able to see the Projects that are in the Cart and pay for them.

I have sent some content to the Cart, can I decide to pay only some and not all of them?SIEBEL

Yes! Once the content are on the Cart, there is the possibility to select the ones you don’t want to pay immediately and click on the "Save for later" option, so they will remain on the Cart and it will not be mandatory to pay them right away.

What costs will a Seller face while using the platform?SIEBEL

Sellers will pay a one-time upload fee for each piece of content submitted to the platform. Additionally, based on the needs of each seller, packages with differing amounts of screeners will be available to purchase for sending title pages directly to buyers. Click here to see the Pricing Plans.

Do you offer discounts for Sellers uploading content in bulk?

Yes. If you are interested in uploading a catalogue of films and/or believe you may be eligible for a volume discount, please email us at help@exeest.com.

What payment options are available?

We accept Paypal and major Debit or Credit Cards.

How can I get a discount code and how does it work?

Once you have signed up for Exeest, you will receive an email with a promo code that you can apply the first time you are uploading content on our platform. If you are uploading multiple movies at the same time, the most expensive movie will be free. You will be able to type in the code when you arrive at your cart just before proceeding to checkout.

Privacy & Security

How will my content be protected once it’s on the platform?SIEBEL

Security is a top priority given the unique sensitivity of the content we are helping to license and sell. We use sophisticated DRM and QR code/watermark technology that applies protection to each piece of content on every web browser and viewing device. We will utilize Two-Factors Authentication each time a guest starts watching content on the platform.

Can other sellers see my content?

No. The content that you upload on our platform will be shown only to you, your team members, and any guest that you shared the content with.

Can I control the “share” settings for my content?

Yes. You can create and manage individually unique links that allow you to create passwords, set viewing expiration dates, or limit the number of plays when sharing your content with certain people.

Screeners

What is a screener?SIEBEL

A screener is an advance screening of a film, television series or other content sent to critics, awards voters, potential buyers or licensors, and other film industry professionals, including producers and distributors.

How do I access a screener?SIEBEL

You can access a screener in two ways depending on how you receive it.

By email: Open the email you receive and click on the button “watch now”. You will then have to sign up/log in and you will finally have access to the screener

Through a link: Log in on your Guest account. Copy and paste the link in the space that you will find on the right side of your Guest home page

Can I contact the person that sent me the screener directly through Exeest?SIEBEL

You can contact the person who sent you the screener by clicking on the button “CONTACT SENDER” that is on the right side of the screener page. By clicking on that button you will see all the contact information about the person and company that send you that screener.

Can I watch a screener without having an account?SIEBEL

Yes, but only if you receive it in Fast Access mode. Ask the seller to send it through this mode if you prefer not to create an account.

Do the screeners have any limitations of any kind?SIEBEL

It depends on the seller since he can decide to add an expiration date, a limit on how many times you can watch it, a password, and a watermark before he sends out a screener. We are giving our Users these options since we want them to feel more comfortable as possible when they are sharing their content.

Will the Seller know when and how many times I Interact with the screeners?SIEBEL

Every Seller will have access to all sorts of analytics regarding the engagement of their screeners. With this said our Sellers will have information about when you watch their screeners.

Why do I see my phone number on the screener?SIEBEL

You may see your phone number burnt in on the screener that you receive because it was explicitly asked by the Seller. It’s one of the options that a seller can choose as a Watermark to protect his content.

What happens if I run out of screeners?SIEBEL

Our team will notify you via email, notifications and popups that you are running out of your screeners. You will be able in any moment to reload them by going to the "Plans" item, choosing the package which better fits you and paying for it. Your screeners will automatically be credited to your profile.

Once I have submitted my projects can I send out screeners right away?SIEBEL

No, you should make sure that the encoding of your content is completed otherwise you will not include the video on your screener. We will send out a notification that will let you know when the encoding is done.

Can I share Screeners without having my Guests to sign up?SIEBEL

Yes, you can by enabling “Fast Access” mode before sharing the link. We do not suggest to use this mode if you want your content to be more protected, however, we still want you to give you this option.

What does FAST ACCESS mean?SIEBEL

FAST ACCESS is a mode you can enable while sending out a screener. This mode allows your guests to access your screener without having to SignUp as a Guest on our Platform.

I made a mistake while sharing a screener, can I change the options?SIEBEL

Yes, you need to go on the “CONTENT PAGE” of the project and then go on the “ANALYTICS” section. Scroll down to “Screening Links” and then click on the edit button of the link or invitation you want to change, at that point you can edit all settings you want. You can also delete the link or just disable it.

What can I do if one of my guests run out of the number of plays for my content?SIEBEL

If you wish to give him more plays, you can either edit the settings of the Screening Link or just send him a new screening link.

How do I check the new interactions of my screeners?SIEBEL

Every new interaction that your guest has with the screeners will be notified and also under every project in the PROJECTS page you can see the precise number of new interactions.

How can I send a private screener invitation?

From the Film Page or the Projects section of the platform, click “Share Project” on the right side of the page. Type in the guest’s email address or generate a direct link and, if you’d like, set an expiration date, password, and the number of plays available for your screening.

Can I send a screener invitation link to several people at once?

Yes. Create a private screener invitation by going to the Film Page or Projects section of the platform and clicking “Share Project” on the right side of the page. You can enter multiple email addresses on the same invitation. Or, if you have clicked “Generate Link”, you can send it to whomever you’d like to screen your content.

How do I keep track of my sent screener invites?

On your Film Page, you can find analytics about the engagement of your screeners such as who you’ve sent invitations to, if they’ve been opened, etc.

Can I disable a shared link to one or all of the recipients?

Yes. On your Film Page, you can manage access to the links you have shared. You can disable a link for everyone that has received it, or turn off access at the individual level.

Can I track analytics and engagement for the content I’ve uploaded?

Yes. On your Film Page you can see key analytics and information regarding your content and the engagement it’s experiencing.
